National Reining Horse Association $2 Million Rider Tim McQuay and wife Colleen, a multiple world champion hunter and jumper trainer, coach and rider in AQHA and AHSA competition, moved from Minnesota to Tioga in 1989.

 McQuay Stables is  one of the most successful training and breeding operations in reining horse history. The state-of-the-art breeding operation is well known as the Home of Hollywood Dun It, NRHA’s All Time Leading Sire.                        With offspring earnings in excess of $5 million dollars!

Hollywood Dun It passsed away in 2005 and it was going to take a mighty horse to follow as senior sire at McQuay Stables.  Gunner is proving worthy to the task. Colonels Smoking Gun, a.k.a.  is a World Champion Reining Sire, USET Champion and a member of the NRHA Hall of Fame and with a total of only 145 foals with NRHA competition licenses, he is just about $40,000 shy of passing the million dollar siring mark, himself, and is proving to be a great cross for those outstanding Hollywood Dun It daughters.
