Vandorp Reining Horses

Ruben grew up in The Netherlands and began training horses over 20 years ago. His equine experience has been in many different breeds, as well as many different disciplines. This led to seven European championships. He then relocated to the United States and in 2002, he started Vandorp Inc., DBA Vandorp Reining Horses. Ruben married Melissa in 2003 and the couple moved their operation Skyline Ranch in 2007. That year proved to be a great success as he was NRHA’s 3rd top rider with earnings over $182,000. Most of his success in 2007 is credited to Einsteins Revolution, owned by Wagner and Vandorp. Ruben is also a two time Congress champion, NRBC Intermediate Open champion, NRBC Open Reserve Champion, multiple NRBC Open finalist, NRHA Derby Intermediate Open reserve champion , multiple NRHA Derby Open finalist, AQHA World Show top five and NRHA Futurity finalist. Ruben’s current lifetime NRHA earnings exceed $370,000. In 2011, Ruben had yet another successful show season with both his non pros and personally by making the NRHA Futurity Open finals for the first time.  Ruben and Melissa currently reside in Cross Roads with their two beautiful children, Skylar and Peyton.  Vandorp Reining Horses is currently located at the beautiful Green Valley Ranch in Aubrey, TX.
